Poly Protective People Originally from Scotland, Rob moved to England for tertiary studies. He has worked in a number of countries in the mining industry before coming to Mackay and establishing PPC in 1982. Rob's aims for the company are still the same as they were in 1982 - To provide a quality service or product on time at a reasonable cost. Now a
permanent resident of Mackay, Rob's interests are fishing,
sailing and talking about both; he has a daughter who is a
keen Highland and Irish dancer.
Neale Stratton has been involved in the plastics industry for the past 16 years. He has learnt the industry from the shop floor, starting in the workshop and then moving on to estimating and technical advice. He is experienced in the fields of polyurethane processing, engineering plastics, thermo-plastic pipe systems and he has a wide knowledge of epoxy compounds. Neale is
married with 1 child and along with his wife Julie enjoys
the relaxed lifestyle of Mackay. His interests include
playing golf, AFL and most sports.
Ian has been with PPC for 11 years. He is a qualified boilermaker with experience in site steel erection, plant maintenance, tank erection, pipe fabrication and installation and many other types of steel fabrication. Ian has 21 years experience in the area of wear resistance, involving the use of ceramics, epoxies, and elastomeric urethanes. He also has experience in the HDPE pipe fabrication and installation area. Ian's
interests are estuary and deep sea fishing and camping.
Cheryl has
worked for PPC since 1991. She started her working career in
Sydney and moved to Mackay in 1981. Her interests are water
skiing and reading a good book.
Dianne has
been with the company since 1998 and her responsibilities
include accounts and payroll.
